Sometimes they come home disappointing.

I usually love the ladies that quilt my quilts. This time I was in shock when I unfolded it and saw this quilt quilted in red. I usually tell the quilters to work their magic. This time it fell short with the red squigglies in the stars. Sigh.

sorry this happened to you...something similar happened to me I told the quilter I wasn't happy, she took the quilt back, took out the thread and quilted that area in a neutral color for me.
you should tell her, I bet she doesn't want any of her customers to be unhappy.

Not a problem for me. It's still totally gorgeous. I'll take it so you won't have to look at it! LOL

How disappointing for you. :-( BUT ..... eventhough the thread color in the stars wasn't what was in your mind's eye, (for what it's worth), I think it's simply lovely!

I *do* like the fact that it stands out; it adds a bit of whimsy to the quilt. Quite delightful!

However, if it just isn't what you like, then do talk with your longarmer to see what solutions she may offer.

On the other hand, I'll gladly pay for shipping if you care to gift it to me! LOL! :-)

Yeah that is strange kind of. Not what I would have picked. I had a quilter put butterflies on a quilt once. Not at all what I asked for. But I didn't tell her. Somehow I didn't have the nerve.

I have to tell you Jana I sort of like it. I really do. I know how you feel though, that happened to me once. On a small small quilt. The little design I did was totally lost in the quilting. But this, I think it may grow on you. I do like it. But you know me and my red. :-)

it looks great, but it can be dissapointing, when it doesn't fit the bill. maybe be more specific next time. great colors though.
