The Honey had a business trip in Loveland, Colorado this past week and asked if I wanted to go with him. If you have ever driven I-80 in Wyoming (or for that matter Nebraska) you know there isn't much along the route. We stopped in Rawlins to have dinner at an interesting restaurant. Sanford's. I have never seen so many tv's in a eating place! Before we left, I went into the bathroom and while there I had to take a picture. Here's a picture looking towards the toilet.
This is a picture looking toward the sink from the toilet. Can you see them???? This bathroom had 2 tv's in it! Made me laugh so I had to take a picture of it! Oh! The food was fantastic though! So stop, if you are ever in Rawlins. It's down on their old Main street.
Eastern Wyoming is always interesting. You never know what the weather will be like. Between Laramie and Cheyenne is some beautiful country but it can be foggy, windy (always), snowy, etc. There is one little spot with a gas station in the midst of it all. Ol' Buford, Wyoming. Population 1. I really don't believe the sign anymore and was afraid to comment on it because I didn't want to insult the man but you see other houses popping up in the area now. The Honey had to ask about Buford though. The owner of the gas station said that Buford use to be bigger than Cheyenne back in the 1800's but that now it was just him living there for the past 30 years. If you can read the other signs, they tell you that it is the highest town between San Francisco and NYC. Have to have a claim to fame out in the middle of nowhere I guess.

Sanford's is a great place to eat! There's one in Rapid City, SD, that we visited often when we lived there. After living surrounded by trees in TN for a few years, I'm always glad to get back to that area and see fovever!!
I've never been that direction from Wyoming. A culture in and of itself I can see!
So true Jana, you never know what the weather will be! Wyoming has some nice spots but mostly not, IMO.
