The UP House in Salt Lake City

Each year Salt Lake City, Utah has their annual Parade of Homes. This year the house to see was the "Up" house. It was built after the house in the movie, Up. If you remember the movie, you know that not too many rooms were shown in the movie so the builders took liberty and built the house as they thought it might look when Carl and his bride, Ella lived there.

Plans are to sell the home. There are at least 6 very interested parties that may want to buy it. The builders also have permission to keep the color on the house and do not have to change it. I hope other builders follow suit and have at least a few more homes in the neighborhood that are painted bright colors. Disney bought the floorplan plan from the builders so there will not be another house build like this one....unless Disney is involved! How fun to have your own one-of-a-kind house!

I think the pictures are pretty self-explanitory. Loved the kitchen appliances!

4 bedrooms and 4 baths with 2761 square feet for $399,900.

Since it's Halloween night......

....I'm dreaming of this again! Oh yummy! I was in Provo yesterday taking a class to learn how to use my embroidery module. Found this great pizza restaurant in Riverwoods shopping center. It's called MALAWI'S (no website). Supposedly the pizza is healthier than regular pizza. Thin crust and baked in a brick oven with fresh ingredients. We loved it. I haven't had pizza for a very long time (diet-blah) so it was fun to chomp down on the first bite and taste yumminess!

Here's my college son trying his pizza.

The dessert pizza's were oh so good too!

October at Gardner's Village

The Honey wanted to go to a Home Show on Saturday in Sandy, Utah so after my Block of the Month meeting at the quilt shop, we headed on down.  While traveling, I remembered a blog friend wrote that Gardner Village was a fun place to visit during the month of October.  Of course I knew about the quilt shop there so I suggested to the Honey that we go there first and see what was happening.  Fun, it was!  I would love to go again and visit but take the lil' guy with me.  I think he would love seeing all the Halloween characters.  Pine Needles was too crowded for me to really look around in but it is a very nice shop to visit in you are ever in Utah.  Lots of embroidery supplies along with some nice fabric.

In the furniture shop at Gardner Village, I found and fell in love with this chair.  Never mind the price.  Never mind that it doesn't go with anything in my home.  I love LOVE love it!  I had to take a picture since it didn't come home with me.
