Happy Memorial Day weekend!

Not sure where the time goes but I just haven't spent too much time at the sewing machine.

Actually we have been visiting this lil' 2 year old this month.  She lives out of state and I sure do miss her!  We had a great week visiting her and her parents!

I've also loved having our youngest son home from BYU for a few weeks this month.  He left yesterday for an internship in San Antonio.  Hopefully that beast behind him will get him there, back AND around for 10 weeks!  Joel hasn't bought a car for himself yet...wants to keep saving money so he is stuck with our "leftovers" for his trip.  I'm pretty proud of this kid...he was just accepted into the Master's program at school (yes....he is older than you think).

This lil' one still has my heart.  6 weeks old now and still has all her hair!  She looks so big and chunky here but is still just a lil' thing!

I did make this wall hanging this month.  I realized I didn't have any quilt for Flag Day or 4th of July so I looked through my patterns and found this one to make.  It is an Out On A Limb pattern called America Something to Crow About.  Love my rooster guy!

I LOVE sales!

It's been about a week since I last posted.  I have been trying to get some Christmas gifts sewn but some other things---important things---have come up.

I do have to show this though....I love this annual sale at Ace Hardware!  I had to drive on Saturday in snow for about 45 minutes to get to it but when Ace has their clearance fabric marked off 75%, I MUST be there!  I buy the bolt since they are now so cheap and use the fabric for backings on my quilts.

Here's the important thing I have been doing this week!  We added another grandbaby on Friday, the 13th!  I have been busy playing gramma.  Here is Lil' Prince with his BIG brother, Lil' Guy.  I was so happy he didn't come yesterday when the big snowfall hit.  His mommy has these babies fast and the interstate was closed for over 9 hours yesterday because of wrecks on the road.

With this lil' Junior Miss that makes 3 grandbabies for us!  We couldn't be happier!

Trip to see Junior Miss!

Of course when I got there it had to snow! I think that happened the last time I was there too!

I helped the new mommy make a diaper cover while I was there.  We used the pattern "Smartie Pants 2" by Two Sisters at Squirrel Hollow.  Very quick and easy pattern to make.  Now all that is needed is the elastic.  (And probably a bigger bottom on baby)  It was the first time new mommy had appliqued so I was proud of her!  She did a great job!

Here's Junior Miss getting a bath while I was there.  Ummmmm....not too happy.

But here she is in her bed sleeping so peacefully.  This is called a playard.  A very beautiful bassinet.

It was hard to leave this lil' one behind when I left!  I don't like being gramma and being so far away!

Leaving on a jet plane to see this!

Is this not the cutest lil' sweetie?!
The kids told me she was changing every day.  I have got to get out there to see lil' Junior Miss!
